Guest teachers

On a regular base professional guest teachers from home and abroad provide the classes Salsa Club and Zouk Club. Below is an overview of some guest teachers from the Spring season 2012.

Dudley AngelaDudley Angela (Salsa Club)

Dancing and Dudley Angela is really a matter of mother's potting. When he was young, his mother lifted him during cleaning, so he could dance Salsa with her on her toes. Nevertheless he started with ballroom dancing, but in the end he returned to his Salsa roots. Meanwhile, Dudley is Salsa teacher for more than 5 years. In his daily life he teaches children that need special education. A teacher with heart and soul. Those who know Dudley, know that pleasure in dancing is very important. As Dudley says: "play and enjoy"! This is also what he expresses when he performs with the group Drakenwoede.

Paul BaarnPaul Baarn (Salsa Club)

Paul Baarn started with Salsa about 15 years ago, when there was no LA or New York style. A family member told him that a Salsa class started and there were too few men. And thus Paul met the Salsa world. He took lessons with different teachers, each with its own style. Soon he met Marlon Castillo, who introduced the LA-style in The Netherlands. It took some time to switch from the way he had danced to the LA-style. But once he mastered the LA style, he went rapid. He started teaching and developed his own figures. Soon he was invited to international conferences as a performer and as a teacher, and he stood amongst the big names like Leon Rose, Francisco Vasquez and Super Mario. Today, Paul Baarn is a concept. His subtle way of leading, musicality and versatility in dance make him one of the best Salsa dancers/performers/teachers in The Netherlands.

Dave 'DJ Tinta'

Dave (Salsa Club)

Dave (aka DJ Tinta) is a striking appearance in the Salsa scene. In the beginning, women sometimes were reluctant to dance with him because of his distinctive tattoos. For Dave dancing is pure enjoyment. He dances with everyone and fun is most important. He developed his own style and it is a joy watching him and dancing with him. He was second in the NK Salsa and now he is also developing the skills as a DJ.
